Management Books Goes Global

Management Books, Australia's largest specialist business bookshop, is experiencing phenomenal growth with a customer base that now spans Australia, USA, Europe and the Asia Pacific region.

Carolyn Barker AM FAIM, AIM CEO, said online sales are exploding as the market becomes more and more specialised.

"As Australia's largest specialist business bookshop our customer base is incredibly diverse," Ms Barker said.

"It's a fact – people love choice and Management Books stocks thousands of business books, CDs, DVDs, games and training tools all available online at the click of a button."

As a Queensland based business, more than 50 per cent of online sales are now sourced from interstate and overseas.

"One of the original reasons for creating ManagementBooks.com.au was to allow regional business leaders easy access to specialist business resources just as their metropolitan counterparts do," Ms Barker said.

"As we have grown the business in sophistication, so too have our clients' requirements – they are looking for hard to find titles, bespoke customer service and specialist multimedia resources for professional development."

Management Books' most sought after service is the MB Helpdesk where customers can discuss specific learning and development needs in their business. Management Books staff then recommend a selection of books and training resources tailored to their requirements.

"In a world where so much information is readily available, our customers value assistance in discerning relevant and credible resources," Ms Barker said.

"Managers are often not just purchasing for themselves, they are seeking tools to develop staff and teams in specific skill areas such as emotional intelligence or people management."

Management Books also provides a complimentary Hard to Find Title service which tracks down elusive business books from around Australia and overseas.

An exclusive range of training DVDs and videos is also available for hire and purchase through the bookshop, including the popular FISH! Series and Who Moved my Cheese?
